ADS Tracker - Reporting and Tracking Entries.

ADS Tracker allows you to track entries from ads and links. Find out how to measure the effectiveness of any ad from Google, Facebook and other platforms. ADS Tracker displays entry and sales reports by platform and campaign. Additionally, it shows the exact customer visit path in the order.

How to Activate ADS Tracker

  1. In the shop's Admin Panel, go to ConfigurationADS TrackerConfiguration,
  2. Check Activate,
  3. Click Save.

Adding a Campaign

  1. Go to the Campaigns tab. List of campaigns added to ADS tracker

  3. Check Active.
  4. In the Platform field, select Google.
  5. Enter Name.

    The campaign name is arbitrary. You can enter the same name as in Google

    The color helps to distinguish campaigns on the campaign reports charts

  8. Click Save.

Adding an ad

  1. Go to the Ads and links tab. List of ads added to ADS tracker

  4. Check Active.
  5. In the Campaign field, select the previously created campaign.
  6. Enter any Name.
  7. Paste the Link destination, e.g. to the advertised product.
  8. Click Save.

Adding a link to Google

  1. Copy the tracking parameter by clicking Copy parameter.

    If you want to insert the entire link to another page click Copy link.

  2. Go to the Google Ads platform.
  3. When adding a new ad or editing an existing one, go to the Ad URL options section.
  4. In the Final URL suffix field, paste the copied parameter. Google Ads hash parameter

Adding a Campaign in Google Ads

  1. Log in to your Google Ads account.
  2. Create a new campaign and select the type of campaign you want to create.
  3. In the campaign settings, select the URL options tab and enter the tracking parameter in the Tracking template field. Ad URL options window in Google Ads ad edit

Adding a Link to Facebook

  1. Create an ad in the Facebook campaign similarly to in the Google campaign.
  2. Copy the tracking parameter by clicking Copy parameter. How to copy the tracking parameter for Facebook
  3. In the ad edit on Facebook, paste the copied parameter in the URL parameters • Optional field. Facebook ad edit window

Adding Any Link e.g. for a Blog, YouTube, etc.

  1. Add a campaign and ad unrelated to Google and Facebook (how to add a campaign and an ad).
  2. In the ad edit, copy the link with the tracking parameter by clicking Copy link.
  3. Paste the link in any information channel e.g. in a blog post, in a newsletter message or in a video description on YouTube.

    Entries to the store page through this link will be registered by ADS Tracker.

Adding a Platform

  1. Go to the Platforms tab. List of advertising platforms in ADS tracker

  3. Check Active.
  4. Enter Name.
  5. Enter Description.
  6. Select Type
  7. Click the Save button.
  8. Select Color

    The color helps to distinguish between individual platforms on the platform reports charts

Entry Reports

Select Entry Reports.

  • Select the Range of the report,
    • or specify your own Date Range,
  • Select the Platforms to be displayed on the chart,
  • The table contains the number of entries for each platform

Platform Reports

Select Platform Reports.

Active Platform Conversion Report
  • Select the Range of the report,
    • or specify your own Date Range,
  • Select the Platforms to be displayed on the chart,
  • The table contains statistics for each platform:
    1. Entries,
    2. Conversions,

      Orders placed by customers who entered the store through a link associated with the ad

    3. The CTR rate,

      What percentage of customers placed an order after clicking a link associated with the ad

    4. Gross Value,

      The sum of the gross value of orders placed by customers who entered the store through a link associated with the ad

    5. Average.

      The average gross value of orders placed by customers who entered the store through a link associated with the ad

Campaign Comparison

Select Campaign Reports.

Comparison of two campaigns
  • Select the Range of the report,
    • or specify your own Date Range,
  • Select the Platform to be displayed on the chart,
  • Select Compare with to compare two campaigns on the chart.

Configuration

Go to the Configuration tab

ADS tracker module configuration
  1. Check Activate.
  2. Check Extended mode

    Extended mode allows for better user recognition. This is associated with greater use of the database resources.

  3. Select Data storage time (days)

    Specifies the maximum time from entry to recognize a sales conversion.

  4. Select Count as conversion

    Specifies whether the first entry of the user from the ad is taken as the source of the sales conversion, or the last.

  5. Enter Excluded addresses

    IP addresses that will be omitted from the reports. E.g. addresses from which the seller connects.

  6. Control key

    System identification number assigned to the store.

  7. Click Save.
