Customer Monitoring - view customer statistics in real time

Customer Monitoring records data about user activity in the store and allows you to monitor customer activity in the administration panel. The collected data is also used by features that support customer shopping experiences, such as Recently Viewed Products, Followed Products, and Returning User Recognition.

Configuration

In the administration panel, go to ApplicationsCustomer MonitoringCustomer Monitoring module icon

Customer Monitoring module configuration
  1. Select Advanced User Recognition,

    This option enables customer activity monitoring and extended methods for identifying returning users. Once enabled, the system stores information about user activity in the store. The data is used to display the “Customer Activity” widget, activity reports, and to identify returning users. Enabling this option increases the effectiveness of recognizing returning customers.

  2. Select Number of Monitoring Days,

    How long the system should recognize a customer's return visits to the store.

  3. Click the Save button.

Adding the Customer Activity Widget

The Customer Activity widget presents current user activity in the store. It displays customer visits from the last 30 minutes and the current number of users in the store.

Additionally, the widget displays:

  1. The number of new users,
  2. The number of returning users,
  3. The number of users viewing products,
  4. The number of users who added a product to the cart,
  5. A list of the most viewed products.
  6. The number of views is displayed next to each product. The list allows you to quickly check which products attract the most customer interest.

  1. Go to the administration panel dashboard,
  2. Click the button Add button, Widget list
  3. Select the Customer Activity widget and add it to the dashboard, Customer Activity widget appearance

At the bottom of the widget, there is a View Full Activity Report link, which opens a detailed customer activity report from the last 24 hours.

If the monitoring system has not collected any data yet, the widget displays a message informing the user that there is no data to present.

If customer monitoring is disabled, the widget does not display any data and shows an appropriate informational message.

Customer Activity Report

The customer activity report presents detailed data about user behavior in the store from the last 24 hours.

At the top of the report, there is a chart titled User Activity from the Last 24 Hours, showing the estimated number of active users in each hour.

The report is divided into two data summaries.

All Customers

This section presents the activity of all store users.

The following data is available:

  1. Number of visits from the last 30 minutes,
  2. Current number of users in the store,
  3. Number of new users,
  4. Number of returning users,
  5. Number of users viewing products,
  6. Number of users who added a product to the cart,
  7. List of the most viewed products.

Returning Customers

This section presents the activity of users identified as returning customers.

The following data is available:

  1. Number of visits from the last 30 minutes,
  2. Current number of returning users,
  3. Number of users viewing products,
  4. Number of users who added a product to the cart,
  5. List of the most viewed products.

This makes it possible to separately analyze the behavior of new and returning store users.
