A new version of the SOTESHOP AI online store, 8.4.4, has been released. Since version 8.4.3, we have introduced 26 improvements and changes, including security enhancements and PHP version information. We have also added two-factor authentication (2FA) for store customers. Other changes include improvements to invoices, Google structured data, the Ads Tracker system, Facebook integration, and much more. In SOTESHOP AI VIP, we have also introduced an affiliate program for store customers. Update your store to the latest version and take advantage of the new capabilities of SOTESHOP AI.

  1. Important fix related to the notification indicating a secure PHP version.
  2. Contact form: Added support for the canonical link on the store page.
  3. Migration: Removed outdated migration options from the admin panel.
  4. Core system: Improved the store cache generation mechanism by enhancing temporary file handling.
  5. Blog: Improved searching for and adding recommended products when editing blog posts.
  6. Product attributes: Extended sorting and filtering options for attribute lists and their variants in the admin panel.
  7. Product banners: Introduced numerous fixes and improvements to the Quick Product Banner, Slide Tab, and Cascade applications, covering product display, discount handling, availability configuration, and overall stability.
  8. Climb theme: Added the ability to change the background color of the bar in information boxes.
  9. Products: Updated the appearance of emails containing online codes and files, added content customization options, and improved multilingual support.
  10. Products: Improved the product list display in the admin panel by adding default sorting by modification date and the option to display additional columns showing product creation and last modification dates.
  11. Structured data: Adjusted product review structured data to meet Google's requirements, eliminating warnings related to the itemReviewed field.
  12. Admin panel: Improved the formatting and display of shortened text, preventing HTML tags from being visible.
  13. Customers: Fixed the sending of two-factor authentication (2FA) codes after activating a new customer account.
  14. Themes: Fixed the display of warranty and trust icons on product pages and required field indicators in the cart on mobile devices.
  15. Invoices: Fixed the display of net amount and VAT summaries on invoices in the admin panel and PDF documents, ensuring consistency with KSeF data.
  16. Ads Tracker: Fixed campaign display when adding advertisements and links in the admin panel.
  17. Update panel: Added PHP version verification and notifications informing users when an update is required to ensure store security.
  18. Shopping cart: Improved the handling of product options when updating the cart.
  19. Affiliate program: Added a new module enabling cooperation with affiliates, creation of individual discount codes, calculation of commissions on purchases, and management of settlements and sales reports.
  20. Core system: Improved store cache handling to ensure the system operates correctly when errors occur while reading stored data.
  21. Facebook Pixel and Facebook Conversions API: Improved purchase event tracking by eliminating duplicate events and enhancing data transmission for more accurate conversion matching.
  22. Customers: Fixed the login window to prevent it from closing unexpectedly when selecting data in the form.
  23. Reviews: Enhanced spam protection by improving CAPTCHA verification and introducing additional restrictions on submitting reviews.
  24. Recently viewed products: Fixed the removal of individual products from the recently viewed list.
  25. Task scheduler: Added a Mini CRON mechanism that automatically executes basic tasks when a CRON scheduler is not configured or active on the server.

Serious security vulnerabilities have been discovered in PHP that may pose a threat to online stores. The issue does not directly affect SOTESHOP, but rather the servers on which stores operate. Even if you are using PHP 8.3, you need to check the exact version. In SOTESHOP AI, we have added a special security notification that helps detect outdated PHP versions and informs users when an update is required.

We have introduced two-factor authentication (2FA) for customer accounts in SOTESHOP AI stores. Store owners can enable this feature, giving their customers the option to add an extra layer of security to their accounts. Each customer decides whether to activate 2FA. Nothing changes for other customers. They can continue logging in to the store as usual.

A new version of the SOTESHOP AI 8.4.3 online store software has been released. Since version 8.4.2, we have introduced the “One-click return” feature, merged the SOTESHOP AI and SOTE AI services, expanded customer monitoring and the discount system, and added integration with KSeF and support for the deposit return system. We have also released the new Formo theme, expanded scheduled import capabilities, and introduced many other fixes and improvements.
