This new solution works differently from shopping vouchers available in the system and provides more flexibility when planning promotions and sales campaigns.

How Fixed Amount Discount Codes Work

A fixed amount discount code reduces the order value directly during the checkout process in the shopping cart. This means the discount lowers both the sales value and the final order amount.

For example:

• order value: PLN 1000,
• discount code: PLN 100,
• order value after discount: PLN 900.

In the case of discount codes, the store’s revenue is reduced as well.

The Difference Between a Discount Code and a Shopping Voucher

The new fixed amount discount codes work differently from shopping vouchers available in SOTESHOP AI.

A discount code lowers the order value and reduces the sales value. A shopping voucher, however, only reduces the amount the customer needs to pay, while the sales value remains unchanged.

Example using a shopping voucher:

• order value: PLN 1000,
• shopping voucher: PLN 100,
• customer pays: PLN 900,
• sales value still remains: PLN 1000.

This difference is important when planning promotions, analyzing campaign performance, controlling margins, and handling accounting or taxes.
