Online store SOTESHOP 8.4.0

A new version of the SOTESHOP online store 8.4.0 has been released. We have introduced a new store update system, updated integrations with Allegro, Google Shopping, deliveries, import and export features, added new SOTE AI functionalities, and much more. Additionally, we released an important security fix. Update your store to the latest version to take advantage of new capabilities and better secure your store.

Update your store before the end of 2025!

Due to the change in update technology, the old update repository will remain active until December 31, 2025. After it is disabled, automatic updates will no longer be possible and a one-time manual migration of the update system will be required. This will involve an additional fee. This does not apply to stores that update between October 24 and December 31, 2025 (during this period, a standard update is sufficient). We recommend updating your store at least once a month, so we encourage you to update your store now.

Last call for SOTESHOP 7!

This is the last call to update stores running SOTESHOP 7. After December 31, 2025, upgrading from SOTESHOP 7 will be more expensive. If you want to preserve and migrate your data, do not wait until the last moment.

1. Update: Introduced a new SOTESHOP update system and a new installation package. The change includes rebuilding the package repository, enabling faster implementation of fixes and new features without updating the entire system. The new mechanism increases stability, security, and performance of the update process.
2. Important security fix.
3. Scheduled import: Improved verification of XML file URLs from external systems.
4. Electro theme: Fixed text positioning on the sidebar banner on the homepage.
5. Watch and Cosmo themes: Improved layout by increasing space for the top menu.
6. Bianco theme: Fixed two layout configuration options: “Blog – Post frame” and “Blog – Image spacing from box edge”.
7. Products: Increased the length of the opt_image field in the database.
8. Scheduled import: Improved CSV row reading process.
9. Recently sold products: Optimized widget queries in the admin panel.
10. Customer monitoring: Introduced stricter anti-bot protection and optimized module queries.
11. Recently viewed products: Further performance optimization by reducing the number and weight of queries on the product page.
12. PayU payments: Added translation of the “Thank you for your order” message in the English version of the PayU confirmation module.
13. SOTE AI: Redesigned the Chat AI window. Added option “Enable Chat AI across the entire store”. Chat can appear as a layer element. Introduced separate areas for conversation, products, and links. Added “Show more” functionality.
14. SOTE AI: Changed product display layout in Chat AI. Date moved to the bottom; for recommended products, text area expanded to the right.
15. Reviews: Removed PHP messages on product pages in PHP 8.x development mode.
16. SOTE AI: Fixed configuration saving for standard options in admin panel.
17. Deliveries: Updated display of delivery descriptions in the cart.
18. Google Shopping: Added store_code tag to XML file, required by Google Merchant Center.
19. Allegro: Fixed order retrieval.
20. Discounts: Improved visibility in customer panel (including category/manufacturer discounts).
21. Cart: Updated product addition mechanism.
22. Bulk order printing: Added option to download multiple orders, including Allegro orders.
23. Climb theme: Fixed display of vertical images in “New products” section (centered).
24. SOTESHOP XML export: Added “Do not include stock information” option.
25. Playroom integration: Updated XML import to match new structure.
26. SOTESHOP XML export: Added “Export all products” option.
27. Discounts: Improved discount handling in cart.
28. SOTE AI: Updated Chat AI button design on product page (merged input + button).
29. SOTE AI: Added “Button with text field” option in configuration.
30. Futura theme: Updated Masonry library handling (local file for CSP compliance).
31. VAT rates: Updated Romania VAT rates: 19% → 21%, 9% → 11%, 5% → 11%.
32. Core system: Fixed cross-language redirect links in proxy environments.
33. Graphic editor: Completed config files for custom themes.
34. Product options: Fixed net price calculation for EU VAT rates.
35. Invoices: Fixed handling of invoices linked to deleted orders.
36. Cart: Improved validation of prices with option modifications.
37. Poczta Polska: Updated module to reflect API changes and fixed incorrect data handling.
38. Reviews: Fixed configuration display in admin panel.
39. Search & Google Analytics: Fixed keyword input and display.
40. Product import/export: Fixed module in admin panel.
